TV presenter Christine Bleakley has become the latest celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing.
The public vote placed
Christine and dancing partner Matthew Cutler in
the bottom two along with
Rachel Stevens and Vincent Simone.
But it was the 28-year-old beauty of the ‘One Show’ who was voted off
after failing to impress the judges with her tango and salsa.
Arlene Phillips gave Christine’s tango a score of six but criticised the pair for not putting enough into the dance.
She said: “The body contact was there but it was as though Matthew was picking you up and moving you like a rag doll.’
Craig Revel-Horwood was harsher in his criticism and told Christine that she simply wasn’t good enough for the competition.
Christine took the judge’s comments in her stride and left the show smiling, saying she wasn’t surprised to be leaving.
She said: "I thought I would go in the first week. It's been absolutely
incredible. I can't thank people enough for their support, in Northern
Ireland and over here. I will miss Matthew every day, more than
anything."
