The 40-year-old, who made his name in West End show Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, has been given an 18-month ban after being pulled over with almost twice the drink-drive limit in his system.

Darren had initially denied the charges but arrived in court this morning, without representation, and pleaded guilty.

The love rat was also fined £700 for the incident, which took place in Cardiff two months ago.

Darren is said to have gone through a set of red lights before being pulled over.
